Another one from the vaults...


I found this lurking on my hard drive the other day, it was recorded some time around 2007, and is part of a series of works based on a very very simple premise, that of a decay-less loop. Everything was played directly through a guitar, there are no effects other than repetition. The image is from ******** ******, down in ********, where I used to live. It's an example of what the local yoot' used to get up to on a boring saturday afternoon.

  1. How are you getting the horn sounds (fnarr!)? Are they just an artifact of the layering of tones, or were you using some particular technique (muting, volume swells, etc.)?
