Sadness (part I)


It's a little embarrassing, but this video has everything a hauntologist could possibly want - ruins, archives, scholars, ghosts, melancholy, dust, french, panpipes...

Ha ha! You're right - those ruins are particularly ace. I remember when Gregorian monk samples were all the rage. Wikipedia informs me that Enigma once released an LP called A Posteriori 'based on such sciences as astronomy, physics, history and sociology'. Splendid.

Actually, their wikipedia page is well entertaining: 'Cretu would claim that the now signature Enigma sound was inspired after falling asleep on the London Underground.' Blimey!
